I am really good at eBay: Outerwear
Nothing like being bed ridden for a few days to enjoy an eBay deep dive. Below are 10+ killer designer and vintage coats that someone needs to buy.
Before I overwhelm you with goodness a few of my tips for shopping on eBay.
No 1. Get a measuring tape. I know the thought is annoying, but it will be your best friend. Especially with vintage items I find that things can go wrong if you rely solely on size and not measurements. If you are lazy like me sometimes I’ll just cross reference lister’s measurements with size charts on Matches Fashion, Net-a-Porter, MyTheresa, etc.
No 2. Always make an offer! This is actually my no 1 rule. Even if there is no “make an offer” button, message the seller and ask. This has worked for me 10 out of 10 times.
No 3. Always sleep on it. This is actually just a general shopping rule of mine but I always save items to my “watch list” to make sure it’s something I *really* want. If I forget about it, clearly I was caught up in a moment. If I don’t, two things happen— you’ll get notified if the seller offers you a discount, and it’s easy to come back to when you’re sure you want to make the purchase. And then of course, employ rule no 2.
No 4. Cost per wear test. Another general shopping rule of mine is to imagine all the times / outfits you’ll wear said item in question divided by the cost, and this will almost always give you a clear answer whether or not it’s worth the purchase. It will also help to focus on quality purchases instead of quantity.
Ok happy scrolling!
